WikiRace Famous Routes & Recorded Race Chains

Start-to-target pairs players actually raced, read off dated footage from 5–18 September 2026 — plus the classic community pairs we have not recorded, labelled honestly instead of filled in.

Straight answer

What this page has — and what it refuses to fake

Every chain below was visible on screen during a real match: the end-of-race Best route panel or the winner’s own path, with the video and timestamp on each entry so any single claim can be traced back. That is the fastest route we can show without guessing — one dated sample, not a proof that nothing shorter exists.

What you will not find here is a computed path for a pair nobody raced. Computing one would need the complete link graph of the game’s filtered article set, which nobody outside the developer hosts — and a chain that works on the open encyclopedia can simply be missing from the in-game set. Culture pairs we have not recorded keep that label on purpose.

Community classics

The culture pairs everyone asks about — and their honest status

These pairs circulate in the wider wiki-racing community, browser scene included. None is in our recorded set for this game yet.

Unobserved in this game

Titanic → Black Hole

The classic cross-domain jump: a maritime history article bridged toward astrophysics. Hub direction is the transferable part — history or shipwreck hubs first, then a science hub, then narrow. No recorded chain yet, so no chain printed.

Unobserved in this game

Buddy Holly → Lionel Messi

A pop-culture chain across decades: musician → music or era hubs → sport hubs → club roster → player. Our one recorded Messi route entered through Inter Miami CF, which shows the roster pattern this pair would also need.

Format, not a fixed pair

Random article → Celebrity

The community’s default format rather than one route. The repeatable skill is the first three clicks toward a broad hub — countries, decades, professions — which the recorded chains above demonstrate pair by pair.

Why we leave these blank

A chain invented for an unobserved pair is exactly the guess this site refuses to make: the game’s article set is filtered encyclopedia content, so a path that works on the open site can be missing in the race. When one of these pairs shows up in dated footage, it moves up into the recorded section with its source. Until then, run your own pair through the route lookup and use the hub routing strategy for everything else.

FAQ

Famous routes questions

What famous means here, why culture pairs stay unprinted, and where the chains come from.

What are the most famous WikiRace routes?

Two different things share that name. The pairs our page lists as recorded — Cat to Solar System, Ukraine to Water, Beijing to Cheetah and others — were actually raced in dated footage between 5–18 September 2026, and each entry prints the full click chain that was visible on screen. Separately, the wider wiki-racing community keeps a set of culture pairs such as Titanic to Black Hole; none of those is in our recorded set yet, so we publish no chain for them.

Can you show the route for Titanic to Black Hole in WikiRace?

No, and we will not invent one. Titanic to Black Hole is a classic pair from the broader wiki-racing community, but we have no recorded race for it inside this game, and a chain written from the open encyclopedia can be wrong here — the game runs its article collection through automated filtering. What does transfer is the hub discipline: bridge from a history or maritime hub toward a science hub, then narrow. When we record that pair in footage, it will appear on this page with its source.

Where do these recorded chains come from?

Every chain was read off creator gameplay footage published in our source window, including end-of-race Best route panels and winner paths, with the video and timestamp listed on each entry. They are dated samples, not guarantees: best times get beaten, and the game's article set is filtered live encyclopedia content that can change between builds.

How do I check my own start and target pair?

Use the route lookup on our calculator page. It answers with one of five states: the recorded chain for your exact pair, the reverse chain, routes that only start or only end on one of your articles, or a plain miss. A miss stays a miss — we never fill it with a chain nobody raced.
